dartECTD

Introduction

dartECTD is a specialised editor for '.ectd' files introduced in dartText

It is a much better editor specifically made for the format with increased and enhanced options and properties and a great viewer mode that allows you to browse a file. All the links will work as they are set up and looks great in the "Dark Theme" UI it has.

Among other things its much more slick than the previous editor and quicker with better editing options for the file format. It's got an interface UI that we're experimenting with and we think it looks great

The file format is one we're finding extremely useful for note taking and special documents that with the various tags allow you to create an attractive and easy to create micro-website in a single file.

For instance we're creating a creative writing document full of hints, tips and articles on Creative Writing and it's easily browsed in the viewer.

Updated : Various little tweaks and fixes the app is nearly at beta stage now

Updated: Think I've sorted the issue with dragging a node to the root and adding it properly including children, it seems to work. (Please let me know if you have issues).

Updated: Adjusted the Expand sign on the tree view, should show better in most backgrounds. (Can't account for all though.)

Added: Content Brain Storming Action, will add sub-nodes to selected until cancel is pressed and will inherit the given properties from each entry, starting with the parent node.  It's a quick way to add multiple nodes or at least until cancel is pressed.

Updated: Made HTML Flat file export somewhat compatible with calibre conversion (I think), and added the option to allow for creation of dartConvert files for automating the process a little.

Installer : Added Enhanced Readme file and made it launch on run application at the end of the install

Installer: There was a bug in the installation directory it wasn't installing to the usual "Deimos Design\Dart\" directory, it is now.  You may need to uninstall and reinstall with this build to properly install to the right directory. (Otherwise it will install to the previously used).

Added: Help file will launch in browser (Need to actually add some help to the help file!).

Updated: Moved Property fields to show only while editing, they don't show in preview mode. (Should perhaps add a way to view them in brief in preview mode?)

Added: Navigation to preview, (Back, Next, To Parent, Home)

Added:  Quite a lot of tweaks and improvements.  Added a fair few bit's 'n pieces too small or numerous to add here, but also added buttons and menus to the ribbon system.

Updated: Delete should better select a node to go to after delete

Added: Blackbox functionality (A useful backup feature, operates on load and saving files and keeps the last file previous to the one just saved if it already existed).

Updated: the Preview HTML generated is much friendlier to the text being sized.  Also the scene tag is more accurately represented as according to the proper HTML Exports.
